The One-Handed Post

So I am currently typing this post with one hand while Bicho sleeps in the other. I know, its a horrible habit to get her in but it works for us right now. For some odd reason I feel guilty having Bicho sleep in her nursery alone. Maybe its my crazy mom hormones readjusting again. Maybe its because she's just too stinkin cute and I would miss her too much. But I am slowly getting her to take naps in her crib so we'll get there before she is 18...hopefully!

Anyhoo, we had fanily pictures taken by my wonderful sister at the Mesa Arts Center. Bicho did surpisingly well and last for about a half hour before it was nap time. We'll have to do her 3 month old photo shoot this week. Time flies by so fast when you are having fun !!

The Burners Come to AZ

How to torture your husband
1. Tell him to buy Utah Jazz tickets and invite his family to come with.
2. Sit next to him during the game and talk about girl stuff
3. Take a picture while his team is losing
4. Ask to retake the picture because you didnt like the first one.
(proof of my torture in the picture above - just look at that face!!!!)
Colton was really good at torturing his family too.

And then we tortured each other. Two peas in a pod.

Jazz coaches crying over their loss....

Oh the excitement!

Thanks Burner family for coming all the way from Utah to stay with us for the weekend!
See you at Christmas!

Joy To the World!

I have been follow a blog, Joys Of Home, for quite some time now. I don't remember how I found it, but I'm glad I did! She has excellent ideas on how to beautify your home on a small budget. I truly appreciate her creativity because it has sparked mine! I love how she uses her gift to inspire others on how to beautify their Zion on earth in their own creative way! I don't ever comment - just silently soak her ideas and thoughts in. When you visit, be sure to take a look at her past posts too! One of her many creative inventions : an entertainment center built out of old doors. One of Joy's creative ideas involved painting and mounting a wooden letter on a plaque. I've had a large letter "B" hanging around since my wedding. I have never been quite sure on what to do with it. Once I read her post, my creative juices started flowing and I knew what to do with that letter B!

So, the project started like this....

And ended like this...

I am really happy how it turned out! My scrapbook paper wasn't large enough to cover the plaque (!) so I had to improvise. I think I'll cover the part where the paper doesn't exactly meet up with ribbon or something. But for now, its the creativity - not perfection - that counts!
